Some of the material is incredible and very difficult to comprehend as it is so far outside of what most of the public believes. "Rumors" outlines several cases and survivor stories from the UK. I would recommend this book to anyone who doubts the veracity of ritual abuse or DID (dissociative identity disorder) claims. It is not good reading, it is horrifying reading. I searched amazon for relative literature and found "Blasphemous Rumors". Having worked with the direct result of that abuse I found this skepticism on par with disbelief in a round earth. I was very shocked when, years later, ritual abuse came up in conversation and there seemed to be doubt as to whether or not such abuse even existed. At the time I was more concerned with giving them sound, day-to-day care than examining the particulars of their abuse histories. In 1994/95 I worked directly with several children who had been ritually abused. Having worked with children involved in ritual abuse cases I found this book of particular interest. Maybe the publishers got a late night phone call from one of Satan's minions. I bought it about five years ago and I've never seen another copy. There's some great eye witness accounts of human sacrifice, mind control, death threats, blackmail. This book just states the facts and it becomes completely believable. Most satanic books try to shove the Christian agenda down your throat. I guess it's just too unbelievably dark for some people to handle. I go to a lot of used book stores and when I was in Boise Idaho I traded it in for beer money and it was still on the shelf a year later so I bought it back. I read the book twice and it's very creepy. I found it in a discount bin for one dollar. It was published by Fount the UK subsidiary of HarperCollins. Best book on satanic ritual abuse and Masonic cults.
